Coastal furniture is all about light, airiness, and a sense of total relaxation. 1. Keep it Light 
Choose light-coloured or whitewashed wood like driftwood, pine, or ash. Upholstery in pale linens and or pastel cottons are a must.

2. Embrace Natural Materials

3. Go Low and Easy
